Fun Ways to Spice Up Your Next Vacation to Miami

July 3, 2019 by admin Leave a Comment

A vacation to Miami, FL hardly needs much help to spice up your daily routines. Miami has so much going on that it can be overwhelming to zero in on the one thing that can put your vacation over the top. If you’re a fan of Latin American culture and music, you’d be missing out on the experience of a lifetime if you passed up a trip to the fifth annual MegaRumba at the end of this July.

Just buying tickets to the event won’t make a great vacation, though. In this travel guide, you’ll discover the best ways to enhance every moment in Miami.

Convenient Transportation

The main source of transportation for locals and tourists in Miami is the Metrorail. It runs on a 25-mile rail system that has two tracks. The Metrorail is a reliable way to commute around Miami because the trains are fast and safe.

Because Miami has great beaches, stores, and restaurants, you may want to travel to different destinations frequently throughout the day. If you don’t want to rely on the public transportation system, there are Ubers and Lyfts aplenty. But if you anticipate needing to have a place to stow your stuff, simply rent a car.

Hotels in Miami

Downtown Miami is an area that has many great hotels peppered among stores and restaurants. To get easy access to these dining spots and shops quickly, get a suite at YVE Miami. This hotel is just a few miles away from the Bayside Marketplace.

In the same neighborhood, the Hyatt Regency Miami gives you easy access to the Port of Miami and Riverwalk. Whenever you need to relax in Miami after a busy day, you can sleep peacefully in your Hyatt Regency suite because the building is in a pleasant neighborhood.

As a third option, Mandarin Oriental guests get free Wi-Fi, a laundry service, and access to an outdoor pool. If you want to unwind in a luxurious waterfront hotel suite after touring Miami, the Mandarin Oriental is a practical place to stay.

MegaRumba Details and Attractions

In Miami, you can spice up your day by attending the MegaRumba festival. This event is a nonstop celebration of Latin American music and culture, and it happens in Wynwood. Many Latin musicians perform on a stage during the festival for one day, so you’ll need to plan your trip wisely in order to enjoy everything. An agency called Swarm presents MegaRumba each year, and kids and grown-ups can gain access without paying a fee.

Food for the Festival

Salsa Fiesta is one of the best places to buy nachos, burritos, tacos, and other easy-travelling hand food. There will also be many great vendors at the festival to keep you fueled up as you party and dance.

Festival Strategies

Although MegaRumba only lasts for one day, you won’t be able to spice up your vacation if you develop severe foot pain while standing throughout the event. You don’t have to buy new shoes in order to support your feet during the festival. Try to wear something already broken-in, and don’t go crazy for fashion. Even though you’ll want to look your best, there’s nothing attractive about foot pain.

In Miami, bugs can be a big nuisance outdoors. These bugs can bite you, and the stings could cause irritations. However, you can prevent bites by applying buy spray.

There are many other ways to spice up a vacation in Miami. If you need more suggestions or information about great attractions, consult locals and vendors.

Hi Friends!
I'm Fern and I have a love for travel, beauty, health and flowers! I went to school for nutrition, but wasn't really interested in being a nutritionist. So, I started to bartend and have since I graduated school a year ago.
I love talking to people, traveling and writing on my blog... and bartending allows me to do the things I love.

I can take off for a month to travel abroad and there will never be any shortage of bartending/serving jobs when I get home. I also love that I can work abroad bartending anywhere I want! So, I hope you enjoy my blog and if you have any questions, feel free to email me! :)
