The Top Health Reasons Why You Should Live In A Sunnier Climate

May 28, 2018 by admin Leave a Comment

Temperature is a big factor for many of us, and it’s one of the reasons why we decide to live in a certain area. But if you have been living with cold weather for too long, perhaps it’s time to go for that change you’ve been longing for. If you haven’t yet decided, however, whether you really want to take that leap, you should think about the benefits of warmer temperatures to your health. Here are top health reasons why you should live in a sunnier climate.

The real benefits of the sun

Sunlight is a major source of vitamin D, and we have known this since we were young. If you are constantly exposed to the sun, your body’s levels of vitamin D will dramatically increase, and vitamin D has been known to prevent diseases and conditions such as cancer, and it helps make our bones stronger as well. If you spend most of your time indoors just because it’s too cold or rainy to go outside, your energy levels may well be affected. Sunlight is a great energy booster, and if you want to enjoy life to the fullest, you need all the energy you can get.

A chance to become more active

There’s no denying the fact that the couch and the telly look oh so tempting when it’s cold and wet outside. But just imagine living in a sunnier climate – you’ll be outside before long because who can resist the great outdoors when the temperature is warm and mild? In fact, research has shown that people tend to be more active during the summer compared to the winter season, and this makes sense – who wants to go out when it’s cloudy and gloomy and cold, anyway? If you live in warmer temperatures, spending time outdoors is more appealing, and this gives you the chance to become more active as well.

The impact on your lungs and heart

Cold temperatures have long been known to affect peoples’ respiratory and cardiovascular systems just because the body works harder in order to regulate the heat. And if your body works too hard so that the heat within is properly regulated, it’s easier to develop conditions such as high blood pressure. Besides, fresh air is always better than stale air, especially if you live near the coast in an area like Moraira in Spain (if you’re interested in living in this area, you can seek help and advice from Moraira resident real estate experts from Britain such as those from www.watkinswilson.com).

If you decide to live in a sunnier climate, your body will thank you for it – and what’s more, you’ll feel less stressed and more relaxed and can definitely start enjoying life as it should be.

Hi Friends!
I'm Fern and I have a love for travel, beauty, health and flowers! I went to school for nutrition, but wasn't really interested in being a nutritionist. So, I started to bartend and have since I graduated school a year ago.
I love talking to people, traveling and writing on my blog... and bartending allows me to do the things I love.

I can take off for a month to travel abroad and there will never be any shortage of bartending/serving jobs when I get home. I also love that I can work abroad bartending anywhere I want! So, I hope you enjoy my blog and if you have any questions, feel free to email me! :)
